FTS Free Running Clinic in Manila!!

Coach Franklin “Frank” Echevarria is ready to expand and promote Frunk Training Systems (FTS-HANDS ON-ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAM) here in Manila. FTS understands that each athlete has his/her own unique anatomical and physiological design. Each program is carefully measured and custom-made to fit the each person’s specific needs whether you are a beginner (first time run a 5k fun run), a jogger (completed several 5k runs), competitor (wants to improve PR, elite runner (wants to make a sub 30min 10k time), multi-sports athlete such as triathlete (Sprint, Olympic Distance, Half-Iron Man, Ironman) or duathlete (sprint, standard, over-distance).

With FTS, The Biomechanics (what happens between the run?) of an athlete is being carefully analyze based on scientific approach, combination of “NUERAL LEVEL TRAINING” and KRAM or Kinematic Running Assessment Method that provides a quantifiable measurement with six components 1. Foot-Strike Pattern 2. Angle Foot-Strike 3. Recovery Leg-swing Height 4. Stride Frequency or Stride Rate 5. Ground-Speed 6. Knee Compliance.

FTS will:

  • Unload any dominant motor-skills that contribute to in-efficient and injury prone an any  running technique and learn the proper biomechanics in running
  • Explain and learn the importance of key muscles in running (the SPURT muscles and the Work Horse muscles).
  • Explain the Principle of Periodization(preparation, base, build-up, peak and transition phases), SMART principle (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time bound) in training and also teach each Key work out such as (Long runs, Tempo runs , Mile repeats, acceleration drills ) why and when do you have to do this work out that will  enable the athlete to reach his/her goal (whether it’s your first 5k run, break your sub-2 hours for your 21k run, making it into a sub-15minute for your 5k run or just to finish your first half-ironman race.

Coach Frank will hold special sessions on April 16-17, 2010 6am-9am,5-7pm tentative venue: Ultra track and field

During the session, he will personally:

  1. Have a video of the natural running form and explain if there are some dominant motor behavior skills which contributes to in-efficiency and injury –prone technique
  2. Introduce the FTS-8 form drills that will teach the runner to become efficient (including TEMPO, hand and eye coordination, hand and feet coordination)
  3. Application of  drills thru NUERAL LEVEL TRAINING
  4. Importance of CORE TRAINING
  5. FTS-Stretching and (phases of daily work outs)
  6. Entertain Questions.

including a one-month custom made program all for a minimal fee of Php 2,000.

But to be able to achieve your goal, it is always advisable to stick to a training program.
